Millie’s Cookies online factory provides support for local community at Prestwick Airport
New click & collect offer available for local cookie fans!
Millie’s Cookies’ online factory is now open at Prestwick Airport, providing new work opportunities for residents in the Ayrshire area and bringing joy to local cookie fans.
Run by SSP UK, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets, the new Prestwick facility has been developed to meet growing demand for Millie’s Cookies from its UK fans and supports the existing Millie’s Cookies online factory in Manchester.
The number of online orders for the brand’s delicious range of sweet snacks, including Giant Cookies and Cookie Boxes, has increased rapidly as more people have looked to treat themselves and their family and friends during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sales of cookies at the Prestwick site have grown by around 200% since it opened in May this year.
The new site has led to the creation of new jobs for local workers, with the team preparing freshly baked cookies on-site for delivery around Ayrshire and across the whole of the UK – producing around 250 to 350 Giant Cookies every day.
In even more exciting news for Millie’s Cookies lovers, a new click and collect service has launched at the airport, giving customers the opportunity to pick up their online orders directly from Prestwick Airport. Orders can be placed through www.milliescookies.com.
